What is FTTC?
FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) Broadband is provided by fibre-optic cables that run from the exchange to the little green cabinet in your street, and from there it is delivered over a standard telephone line to your premises.

GFAST Broadband
Actively being rolled out across the UK, GFAST Broadband provides ultra-fast speeds via the existing fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) network.
What is GFAST?
GFAST provides reliable and ultra-fast internet connections via an upgrade to the existing UK FTTC infrastructure. If available in your area, it can provide download speeds up to 330mbps and upload speeds of up to 50mbps.

GFAST is only available in limited locations but is the perfect solution for cloud-based working and moderate to heavy streamed content users.

FTTP Broadband
FTTP (Fibre to the premises) provides ultrafast speeds (like GFAST) but has the advantage that connection speed is unaffected by the line length or location. As dedicated Lines are run on demand, connection speeds are unaffected by network traffic and are guaranteed based on the package you choose.
What is FTTP?
FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) Broadband is provided by a fibre-optic cables that run directly from the Exchange to your premises. A fully fibre-optic connection provides faster speeds that a FTTC solution as there is no copper element from the cabinet to the premises.

If available in your area, choose FTTP if you need a guaranteed connection speed and reliability for heavy data transfer to and from the cloud.

Q. How fast will our Standard or Premium Broadband be?
A. Actual download speeds on Max products will depend on your phone line quality and network congestion. BT Wholesale estimates that 78% of customers will achieve download speeds of 4mbps and above. Fluctuation in line speed is expected to occur within the first 10 days of service whilst your line speed adapts to the maximum it can reliably support.
Q. What is the minimum contract period for Broadband?
By default our packages have a 12 month contract. We will not charge you any additional upgrade fees if your contract type changes.
